14.12.2002. At the World Cup #5 in Harbin (CHN), Dmitrij Lobkov was 7th on mens' 500m (35,89), 8th on 1000m (1.11,45). Svetlana Zjurova 5th on ladies' 500m (39,17) and 6th on 1000m (1.18,74).
08.12.2002. At the World Cup #4 in Nagano (JAP) Dmitrij Lobkov was 8th on mens' 500m (35,93), Dmitrij Dorofejev - 11th on 1000m (1.11,33). Svetlana Zjurova just 9th on ladies' 500m (39,03) and 11th on 1000m (1.18,64).
07.12.2002. At the World Cup #4 in Nagano (JAP) Dmitrij Lobkov was 8th on mens' 500m (35,88) and 6th on 1000m (1.11,22). Svetlana Zjurova just 7th on ladies' 500m (38,96) and 11th on 1000m (1.19,24).
26.11.2002. This season Russia Cup #1 (last weekend) was cancelled due to warm weather and bad ice condition in Jekaterinburg.
24.11.2002. WorldCup #3, Heerenveen (NED). Ladies. Svetlana Bazjanova was just 10th on ladies' 1500m (2.00,76). Men, 10000m. Jurij Kokhanets was 4th (13.33,42).
23.11.2002. WorldCup #3, Heerenveen (NED). Ladies. Svetlana Vysokova was 5th on ladies' 5km (7.12,02). Men, 1500m. Jevegnij Lalenkov was 2nd (1.47,28).
18.11.2002. Erfurt (GER), WorldCup #2. Men. Dmitrij Sjepel was 4th on 5000m (6.32,73).
17.11.2002. Erfurt (GER), WorldCup #2. Men. Jevgenij Lalenkov and Aleksandr Kibalko on podium again 1500m (1.47,75 and 1.48,18).
16.11.2002. Erfurt (GER), WorldCup #2 (small combination). Men. Aleksandr Kibalko was the 1st on 500m (36,29), and Ivan Skobrev was 3rd on 3k (3.50,73).
11.11.2002. Yesterday in Hamar (NOR), Andrej Burljajev was the 1st on mens 5000m in 2nd group.
10.11.2002. Yesterday in Hamar (NOR), Jevgenij Lalenkov took golden medal of the first stage of WCup on 1500m (1.47,39).

30.10.2002. Two days ago, Minister for Sport of Russia Vjatsjeslav Fetisov and Governor of Tsjeljabinsk region Pjotr Sumin said about probable beginning of building a covered skating rink in Tsjeljabinsk with budget estimates in about 50 million roubles.
28.10.2002. Yesterday in Inzell, Russian skaters were on 1st places. Ladies, 500m: Svetlana Kajkan - 39,74; Men, 500m: Dmitrij Lobkov - 35,78; Ladies, 3000m - Valentina Jaksjina - 4.25,07; Men, 3000m - Dmitrij Sjepel - 3.51,06.

16.09.2002. Vladimir Komarov (Moskva) was re-elected as President of Russian Skating Union for next 4 years. That was decided at RSU Congress in Kostroma yesterday.
