The best results of Russians from Single Distances WCh in Berlin (Mar, 14-16) - Ladies: 500m - Svetlana Zjurova, 77,81 (38,96+38,85), 7th place; 5000m - Svetlana Vysokova, 7.18,07, 7th place. Men: 1000m - Dmitrij Lobkov, 1.11,30, 6th place; 1500m - Jevgenij Lalenkov, 1.48,98, 4th place, 10000m - Jurij Kokhanets, 13.49,22, 5th place.

09.02.2003. World Allround Championships, Goteborg (SWE). Cindy Klassen (CAN) and Gianni Romme (NED) became champions.
08.02.2003. World Allround Championships, Goteborg (SWE). Jevgenij Lalenkov was 2nd on 500m, and before second day races he is 4th.
01.02.2003. In Nizjnij Novgorod Russian Junior Allround Championships took place last weekend.

20.01.2003. Calgary (CAN), World Sprint Championships - day 2. A compelete fiasco of Russian skaters: ladies - Svetlana Zjurova was just 16th by sum of points; men - Dmitrij Lobkov on 13th place.
19.01.2003. Calgary (CAN), World Sprint Championships - day 1. A fiasco of Russian skaters: ladies - Svetlana Zjurova was 7th on 500m (38.44) and 20th on 1000m (1.17.87); men - Dmitrij Lobkov on 15th place on 500m (35.54), and he was 15 th on 1000m (1.10.28).
13.01.2003. World Cup - day 3, Salt Lake City. Russian Svetlana Zjurova was 7th on ladies' 500m (38.10) and just 14th on 1000m (1.17.07). Dmitrij Lobkov on 6th place on mens 500m (35.05).
12.01.2003. World Cup, Salt Lake City. Svetlana Zjurova is 5th on 500m (RUS, 38.12, ladies) and just 10th on 1000m (1.16.40). Dmitrij Lobkov has the same rankings in mens races (35.06, 1.10.10).
11.01.2003. Golden medals in a new distance for World Cup -100 meters were taken by Svetlana Zjurova (RUS, 10.31, ladies) and Tomonori Kawata (JAP, 9.44, men).
05.01.2003. European Championships in Heerenveen. Gianni Romme (NED) and Anni Frisinger took their golds. Dmitrij Sjepel is on 4th place, Jevgenij Lalenkov and Aleksandr Kibalko were 7th and 12th. Ladies: Russians Vysokova, Jaksjina and Bazjanova on places from 8th to 10th. Julija Skokova's sum of points was 13th.
04.01.2003. European Championships in Heerenveen. After 3 distances, Gianni Romme (NED) is the leader. Russian Dmitrij Sjepel is on 4th place. Jevgenij Lalenkov was 2nd on 1500m (1.49,04), and Aleksandr Kibalko wins gold on 500m (36,40). About ladies, Anni Friesniger (GER) wins three golden medals. Russians Svetlana Bazjanova and Valentina Jaksjina are on 9th and 10th places before the final ladies' distance (5000m).
